Since the 2003 edition of the Impakt Festival, Impakt as its own educational program called Raising Impakt. The program focuses on secondary schools and aims to introduce young people aged 12 to 18 to the power and diversity of audiovisual media. The themes of the programs are derived from the Festival and other Impakt programs. Activities consist of workshops, film screenings and guided tours. For the educational department we are looking for a motivated intern, who is willing to pass on his or hers passion in art to youngsters.
Last year three concepts were developted for educational project with high school students. These concepts were based on our 2010 year theme, Matrix City. At this time our educational department is doing preparatory work for implementing these projects. Impakt would like to add at least one more concept based on the new year theme, as well as implement as many of them as we can.
You will be involved in:
-the realisation of the three ‘Matrix City’ centered concepts
-concept development of a new educational program in line with our year theme 2011
-promoting of the program and keeping in touch with institutions;
-realizing activities, regarding the production as well as the content.
Requirements:
-affinity with art education and working with young people;
-excellent in communicative skills in English (Dutch interns are also expected to have excellent in communicative skill in Dutch);
-motivation, eagerness and a will to expand your capacities;
-independent and active working attitude.
