The Woman With Fifteen Legs

Israel, 2013
Book, size 20 x 14 cm

In her artist’s book The Woman With Fifteen Legs (2013) Keren Cytter presents the ‘true’ story of George Harrison’s secret daughter Elizabeth Knupp. The bittersweet melodrama is accompanied by seemingly arbitrary yet unbearably seductive images that push and pull the viewer from the twisted tale. Elizabeth is a hard-working woman who hides fifteen legs in her trousers. While trying to find the reason for this phenomenon, she comes across a peaceful old woman named Dorothy Strauss.
