Exhibition tour & artist talks
€5,- (Regular) or €4,- (Discount CJP, Upas, Student, <18)
On Thursday 3 October, at 15:00, the IMPAKT Event AI Hacks and Masculinity Exposed will take place. In this event, located in the exhibition CODE 2024: Deep Nudes and Digital Oblivion, several artists will discuss the installations, interventions and hacks they made for this exposition.
Lotte Louise de Jong and Gema FB Martín will talk about their ToyBoi project, a product line of lighters, card games, mugs, calendars and posters. With ToyBoi, the artists amusingly show the flaws of deepnude technologies such as AI undressing tools and what these flaws say about our society and our visual culture. Wouter Maas will talk about Espresso Exposé, an interactive coffee machine, that guides the viewer through important decisions for the future: Which things do we still want to decide ourselves when AI can make all the choices for us? The event starts with a tour of the exhibition and an introduction by Arjon Dunnewind, director of IMPAKT and curator of the Deep Nudes & Digital Oblivion exhibition. This will be followed by a conversation with the artists.
AI Hacks and Masculinity Exposed is organised in cooperation with Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, as part of Utrecht Science Week.
