CODE 2026 at Betweter Festival
Algodance
This year, Betweter is celebrating the tenth edition of the Betweter Festival! Your annual dose of art and science. Betweter fills TivoliVredenburg to the brim with a unique programme of talks, interviews, music, art installations, film and live research. Betweter seeks a sense of stability in chaotic times, brings new ideas to life and asks the questions that really matter.
This year, IMPAKT will be present with Algodance by Julie van Essen and Marit Hoefsloot a project from the CODE 2026 programme.
Meta-owned platforms are controlled spaces where surveillance and censorship shape what can be seen and discussed. Algodance offers an alternative: a method for communicating about sensitive subjects through dance, enabling marginalised groups to express themselves beyond Big Tech’s reach and beneath the algorithm’s radar.
CODE 2026 is organised by IMPAKT (NL) in collaboration with Werktank (BE), PrivacySalon (BE) and In Fine (CH).
