Welcome to the press page of the IMPAKT Festival 2026: Techno-Ancestrality. 

Founded in 1988, the IMPAKT Festival is the oldest media art festival in the Netherlands. During the festival we investigate urgent issues in our digital and transglobal culture, by focusing on the relationship between society, media, technology and arts. In addition to the annual festival, the whole year round IMPAKT [Centre for Media Culture] presents exhibitions, film screenings, lectures, panel discussions, performance, presentations and artist talks – both online and in our center in Utrecht. The deadline to apply for accreditation is 27 March 2026.
