It’s been a tumultuous year for IMPAKT when it comes to funding. On 13 May, it was announced that the Utrecht city council had been advised that IMPAKT should not be included in the structural funding for 2025-2028. Despite the many support letters that stressed the importance of the Utrecht cultural field, the advise was made definite on 26 June.

On 3 July, we received the positive news that IMPAKT would receive support on a national level, from the Creative Industries Fund NL. To organise year-round programmes in 2025-2028 of the same scale as previous years, additional funding is needed. For this, the positive assessment of the City of Utrecht of our programme for 2025-2026 is an important and encouraging step.

We would like to thank everyone who shared their support with us this year. It has been incredibly valuable to see so many people care about IMPAKT, and how much IMPAKT means to the Utrecht, national and international art world.
