The Impakt Channel is set up to be the external portal to Impakt’s Video Art database. The channel hosts highlights that were shown at both Impakt Events and the Impakt festival. In the future thematic selections from the festival will also be incorporated on the Impakt channel.
This way selections of sometimes rarely screened works can be viewed online in a setting that provides context and connects titles to related artworks. The Channel incorporates interviews with participating artists. We upload these alongside video registrations of events surrounding these artists.
This way the Impakt Channel can function as a rich documentation of past events, both for us as for visitors and future visitors.
The Impakt Archive is a physical collection of over 3000 thousand volumes (Tapes, discs, digital files) and over 6000 titles. These are works that have either been presented at the Impakt Festival or other Impakt projects or that have been send to us or bought for research purposes. They include international video art, artists works, performances, experimental film, etc. The Impakt Archive is the main resource for the Impakt Channel.
