We’re pleased to announce that Scott Kildall has arrived at Impakt and will be our Resident Artist until the end of the Festival.

Scott Kildall writes algorithms which transform datasets into internet “bots”, sculptures and installations. His work frequently explores themes of future-thinking and translation between the virtual and the real. He has exhibited his work in galleries and museums internationally in numerous cities including London, Berlin, New York and Hong Kong. His art studio is in San Francisco and he also works in the New Media Studio at the Exploratorium.

During his residency, Scott will work on ‘Equity Bot‘. This art project will premiere at the Impakt Festival as part of our online component. With ‘Equity Bot’, Kildall tries to answer the following question:
How would the transparent, public sharing of powerful financial tools affect the way the stock market works for the average investor?
