Open call for Researcher in Residence proposals!
In order to stimulate exchange between the Utrecht and Dutch art scene on the one hand, and international art organizations and professionals on the other, Impakt has called into life a Researcher in Residence Program – parallel to our artist’s residencies. The Impakt Works Researcher residencies provide facilities for a short, informal visit where young international writers and curators investigate the Dutch art scene, the Impakt archive or specific subjects.
Residency period: 2 weeks between November 2013-March 2014.
Deadline for this period: 3 November
Residency proposals submitted after this date, for the period from March 2014 onwards are welcome, but will not be processed before February 2014.
The residency consists of accommodation in Utrecht, for a period up to two weeks. A longer period is possible, depending on your research proposal.
We prefer research projects that can potentially result in the presentations of Dutch artists abroad, e.g in the country of the researcher or in an exchange between The Netherlands, the country of the researcher and/or other countries. A research project can also be aimed at establishing international networks, a website or online project, or at simply gaining knowledge of art in The Netherlands.
Please note that Impakt does not own a gallery or exhibition space. Proposals that depend on an exhibition or presentation at Impakt, are not eligible.
We are looking forward to a description of your research project, a general description of your areas of interest and a CV. Please include a few possible time indications for the period of your stay.
PLEASE NOTE: After the Impakt Festival 2013 is finished on 3 November, the Impakt organization is scaled down. From November 2013 to March 2014, our staff can welcome, but only offer a limited amount of support to Researchers in Residence.
Submit your project proposal for the Impakt Works Researchers’ residency to works(at)impakt(dot)nl, using this form.
