For the the second time around, Impakt is glad to collaborate with LabMIS in organizing a two-way residency exchange.
LabMIS, the residency program of the Museum for Image and Sound in São Paulo, Brazil, will provide for Dutch artists to work at their premises, while Impakt welcomes a Brazilian artist in Utrecht.
Dutch artists and artists with a permanent visa for the Netherlands can apply for the residency at LabMIS São Paolo, that will be a two month-period between August 10 and 9 November. Because we have understood that time’s been short and that it should be more on your side, we have decided to extend the former deadline of 19 April: applications are still welcome through our entry form until 2 MAY.
If you’re a Brazilian artist who wants to apply for a residency at Impakt (Utrecht) – two months within the period between September and the end of December – the application procedure goes through LabMIS. Find more information about the conditions and the entry form here (in Portuguese).
Short outline of the conditions:
- The residency for a Dutch artist at LabMIS [São Paolo] takes place on behalf of Impakt Works [Utrecht] between August 10 and November 9.
- The residency for a Brasilian artist at Impakt Works [Utrecht] takes place on behalf of LabMIS [São Paolo] between halfway September and the end of December.
- The institution welcoming the artist in residence will provide for accommodation, a studio, technical facilities and a maximum of 1000 euros for the period of two months.
We are looking forward to your proposal until the deadline on 19 april 2012!
