Cairotronica is a Symposium of Electronic and New Media arts in Cairo, Egypt. It includes a program of activities, exhibitions, talks, workshops and screenings by local, regional, and international artists as well as academics, and technology experts. Cairotronica aims to inspire, educate, and challenge students and audiences from across the region.
Cairotronica is hosting a three-day academic International Conference and artists’ talks on Art and Consciousness in the Post-Biological Era under The Consciousness Reframed series in cooperation with The American University in Cairo and The Planetary Collegium, Plymouth University, UK.
Impakt is invited to present itself during the conference with a lecture and a screening program. In the lecture ‘Matrix City’ on May 5th, Arjon Dunnewind will explore the effects of new media and technology in an urban environment on the public space.
On May 8th Impakt will present a selection of video’s from the ‘Soft Machines’ program, followed by a Q&A with Arjon Dunnewind.
