Heads up: Open Call Full Spectrum Curatorship 2026
A training programme for emerging and aspiring curators.
Artistic practices are increasingly shaped by networks, algorithms, and hybrid forms of experience. In turn, curators operate within a cultural landscape in flux, reimagining how art can be encountered and contextualised.
Are you working within media art, digital culture, and the intersection of technology and society, and looking to expand your curatorial practice? IMPAKT will soon open the call for a new edition of Full Spectrum Curatorship: a training programme for emerging and aspiring curators.
The programme supports participants in developing their own project proposal, guided by internationally recognised curator mentors. Through collective sessions, individual exchanges, and guest contributions, participants will explore the conceptual, critical, and practical aspects of curating media art and contemporary artistic practices shaped by digital technologies. Participants will be part of a cohort of fellow emerging curators, creating a space for dialogue and shared reflection throughout the process.
By the end of the programme, participants will have developed a solid curatorial project proposal that can serve as a foundation for future funding applications and collaborations with institutions. IMPAKT will support participants in refining and positioning their projects, offering guidance on how to navigate next steps and explore possibilities for bringing their ideas into the world.
The full open call, including the programme timeline, mentors, application requirements, and deadline, will be online soon. Interested in developing a curatorial project in dialogue with urgent questions around art, technology and society? Keep an eye on IMPAKT’s channels!
