Roee Rosen uses everyday media to evoke a sense of friction and tension with his unconventional, satirical and tongue-in-cheek statements on deeply serious topics. Rosen designed 18 tattoos that respond to and reflect on the war in Gaza to stress the destructive and deadly toll of war and the trauma we carry within us. In this exhibition Rosen presents a series of photographs of his designs tattooed on the bodies of anonymous participants. The permanence of this act also etches the message of the tattoos on our consciousness.
