Could you please tell us something about yourself and your artistic background?
Willehad Eilers aka Wayne Horse is a german artist who lives and works in Amsterdam, NL. His work ranges from video and drawing to performance and installation. Inspired by fables and modern cultures never ending believe in youth, the individual and success, Eilers creates situations, rather than closed stories. The aim being to leave space to breathe for story and spectator. A story will evolve by itself out of small apparently unconnected fragments, different to every spectator. Besides a caustic, sharp humor, his work also contains a childlike playfulness. Movie scenarios are written during the editing process. Stories come together without ever being thought up. Eilers has exhibited among other places at the biennale in venice, paradise row gallery in london and the central museum in utrecht. During the years he received various prices and honors. Foremost honors.
