Impakt Highlights: Linda Franke & Erik Bunger at MEDIA FORUM Moscow

Impakt was one of the six participants of Media Forum’s Media Festivals: Let’s Rock! programme in Moscow from 22-27 June 2012.

Media Forum was organized this year for the thirteenth time as part of the Moscow International Film Festival. The role of new media in audiovisual art and culture received due recognition and Media Forum was immediately introduced into the official program of MIFF. Media Forum as action is an exchange of ideas, infusion of new forces into contemporary culture and vice versa. It is an attempt to demonstrate the logic of new thought and new communications. At the moment it is inside media culture that new ideas go through trial and approbation, ideas that cannot be realized in contemporary art context.

Media Festivals: Let’s Rock!
Within the space of three days Media Forum visitors were able to see the collections of works from the best international media art festivals. The range varied from the experimental animes to the masters’ of video art works, from the most serious European competitions to the funniest video programs. Moscow spectators and the Festival guests could enjoy video art non-stop in a club format.
