Once you’ve shot the gun you can’t stop the bullet

Shot between multiple locations including Vancouver, Beirut, Lebanon, Las Vegas (and many more), this work takes footage from each location, compiles it and lays the voices of different people telling their individual stories and experiences. The viewer only hears a small portion of each story. Some stories are quotidian and seemingly trivial, others more serious and personal. Against a background of what looks like holiday footage mixed with documentary style snippets, the film emphasises how disparate individual’s realities are, how separate and different experiences can be, and how sometimes “it’s just something you can’t ever understand."
