In this video installation, Stubbs strikingly juxtaposes multi-layered spaces of the British city Hull in the face of regeneration projects, which aim to replace its dock industry activities with urban developments that serve as a hub for touristic and business activities. In the shiny facade of promised change in city structures and urban developers dressed in suit and tie, yet, an assemblage of local voices from street cleaners to former inhabitants poignantly unravel the social exclusion, displacement and standardization that are embedded in this city gentrification.
