Mothlight (1963), a film by Stan Brakhage, is a paradoxical preservation of pieces of dead moths in the eternal medium of light, something that moths are generally drawn towards. Mothlight, as a film represents a parable of death and resurrection, but is specifically concerned with the persistence of essential form, image and the motion of being.
