This new French version of a Japanese combat film is described as the ‘French Language Version of 1973 by the Association for the Development of Class Struggle and the Propoganda of Dialectical Materialism’. New dialogue and voice-over impose new meaning to this action film. We see a training session at a karate school. The teacher tells his pupils that his own teacher was killed by being shot in the head. This is the point the creator of this new version of the film is trying to make. Where does language get us, and what good is it anyway?
