A man’s head is digitally manipulated to a soundtrack of insistent industrial music. His face is fixed in an ambiguous grimace – is he screaming with pain or with joy? More than likely it is the latter – his skin peels off in layers as if he has been immersed in boiling water. This video illustrates O’Connell’s lament: “Unemployment has not been this low in years, we work harder than ever and still many people only just manage to scrape by. Does this suck, or what?!”
