Part of Reality TransformedAlone. Live Wastes Andy Hardy
Martin Arnold
(Austria, 1997, 16 mm, 15:00)
Andy Hardy (Mickey Rooney), the ‘all-American sonny-boy’ of the thirties and forties returns, freshly cloned and armed with an Oedipus complex to be liberated from hif suffering by the kisses and songs of Betsy (Judy Garland). This film is a fusion of a few scenes which spool back- and forwards, which were token from the time when the two teenagers appeared in a family series and Busby Berkeley musicals.
