M.M. Serra attempts to introduce viewers to the attractions and terrors of sado/masochism, using interviews with enthusiasts, snippets of Max Fleisher and Hans Bellmer dolls. Under our patriarchal system, women are automatically geared toward the submissive role. Within the context of S/M, however, women can eitherassume or surrender power, from a position of informed choice.
