Visual artist Conijn built an airplane all on his own, and exhibited it on the roof of the De Fabriek exhibition space. Yet it’s more than a mere object to be looked at: at the end of 1999, the Moroccan desert formed the backdrop for the airplane’s baptism. This video is a moving account of the construction, the exhibition, and the airplane’s ardent attempts at flight.
