In the “Iconomia” installation, the power of the image is the focal point. The belief in images is, especially in South American countries, very strong. The title “Iconomia” refers to the value of images on television and in advertising. In religious services and reportage images form the subject of deification, aggression, and rapture. Scrupulous journalists, photo-taking tourists, paranormal phenomena, and catholic image-worshipping come under the microscope.
