At the moment Vienna is one of the most lively and effervescent cities when it comes to music. Ever since the trio Radian released its second album, Rec. Extern, it plays a prominent role in the musical production of the Austrian capital. lnternational recognition as an idiosyncratic and promising group was soon to follow. With the release of their third album, Juxtaposition, Radian has consolidated its position. The band makes music using recordings of acoustic instruments like drums, bass, guitar, vibraphone and marimba. They manipulate and process the recordings by anologue (synthesizers) and digital (computers) means. This approach results in beautiful musical textures full of depth and dynamics.
