The introduction of the easily producible medium of DVD has given rise to a new circuit for the distribution of media art. Small distributors, labels and collectives sell media art for home use through the lnternet and by mail-order. The prices are often low and, as a consequence, a large audience can be reached. In what way can individual artists and small labels get the most benefit from this new circuit? And is it not true that films and video works show up better in cinemas and museums?Four leading labels will be present to show examples of their collection and discuss the possibilities and challenges of the ‘Home Use’ circuit.
