DAN & MARK JURY (USA 1987, VIDEO/ORIGINAL 16MM, 90:00 MIN)
This is so-called “shockumentary” dealing with extreme behavior and follows photographer Charles Gatewood as he chronicles American subcultures that are obsessed with tattooing and body piercing. Gatewood travels form the New Orleans Mardi Gras to underground New York to do his work, eventually focusing on Fakir Musafar, father of the ‘modern primitives’ movement.
