This programme focuses on the role our social environment and our background play in our lives. The directors apply some of the style elements of the documentary for this topic. With their documentary style, they enhance the realism and the expressiveness of the images, while the associative nature of the music video enables the viewer to watch and interpret the images with much more freedom than in the case of documentaries. Even though music channels like MTV do not often show such music videos, there are still directors who take the liberty to combine styles and broaden the definition of the music video.
