MUSIC - Jamie Lidell
Location: Theater Kikker
The music program of the Impakt Festival will be a succession of adventures and discoveries this year. Fourteen leading live acts will give us their best in Theater Kikker. Jamie Lidell opens the festival on Wednesday with a performance that promises to be spectacular as ever. Three electronic groups from Scandinavia will turn the second evening into a true listening evening. Friday will bring
free jazz and daring improvisations. There will be a long program on Saturday, starting with a potpourri of innovative but readily danceable electronics and ending with the traditional Impakt Saturday night party. A beautiful audio-visual concert will provide the music program with a fitting final on Sunday.
This superstar of the future brings the quintessential soul music of the twenty- first century. Imagine Prince paying tribute to Marvin Gaye and Otis Redding during an after party that is great fun but is completely going out of hand. With visuals by Pablo Fiasco.
