THE FOUND FOOTAGE FESTIVAL
The Found Footage Festival is an underground phenomenon from the United States. The festival is a safe haven for odd and hilarious clips from videotapes found at thrift stores and garage sales and in warehouses and Dumpsters. The festival has its home base in New York but it presents screenings throughout the United States. The festival curators, Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher, host each screening and provide their video obscurities with commentary and additional information. From the curiously-produced industrial training video to the forsaken home movie donated to Goodwill, the Found Footage Festival resurrects these forgotten treasures and serves them up in an entertaining celebration of all things found.
Joe Pickett and Geoffrey Haas of the Found Footage Festival will present two specially compiled programs at the Impakt Festival.
