Location: Centraal Museum

Philip Jeck has evolved into a living legend. The British avant-garde turntablist made his debut in 1993 with ‘Vinyl Requiem’, an installation with 180 record players. Two years later, he recorded his first album for the illustrious Touch label. Over the years, he has perfected his scratch, loop and composition techniques, which has resulted in seven solo albums. In the meantime, he is still open to all sorts of multimedia collaborations. For Impakt, Jeck will present a soundtrack to the silent film ‘Battleship Potemkin’ by the legendary Russian filmmaker Eisenstein, which dramatically depicts the uprising of 1905 on the battleship to which the film owes its name.
