This year’s Mediatheque does not only comprise films and videos from the Impakt Festival 2008 but also holds the Impakt archives of the last twenty years allowing visitors to delve into the rich Impakt history. In addition to films featured in previous editions of the festival, you can find many VHS tapes and DVDs of key works from the history of film and video art, interesting video clips and cinematic works of visual artists. Next to works of geniuses that have gone down in history and artists that by now have become unaffordable, you can also find obscure under­ ground talent, big shots that have passed into oblivion and talented artists from previous editions Impakt still vouches for.
