Impakt presents FILASTINE (with vocalist Nova) + Videokratz at VJ op de Dom

Impakt is proud to present much talked about American musician Grey Filastine. FILASTINE utilises musical influences and instruments from around the globe. FILASTINE, vocalist Nova and VJ artist Videokratz (Telenoika) will provide an experimental, audio-visual show that doesn’t sound like anything in particular, yet reminds you of everything: fragmented post-dubstep made with traditional Asian gongs, bass synthesizers and inflections from a wide range of musical languages. His latest album £OOT is a hybrid gem, a mix of musical subcultures from around the world.

The FILASTINE gig constitutes a preview for the Impakt Festival which will be held from 24 to 28 October 2012 in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

VJ op de Dom is an open air event at the quintessential Utrecht location: the Domplein [the square at the foot of the cathedral’s tower]. Various Utrecht-based organisations will contribute to the Vrede van Utrecht [cultural programme celebrating the Treaty of Utrecht] with live performances, lightshows and VJs. VJ op de Dom was awarded the prize for Nederlands Beste Regio Evenement [the Netherlands’ Best Regional Event] in 2011!

VJ op de Dom is part of the celebrations surrounding the 300^th anniversary of the Vrede van Utrecht in 2013.
