IMPAKT Hybrid Wine and Art Tasting Event
Flavoured with Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality
BYOW (Bring Your Own Wine), we’ll take care of the rest!
On 17 March, the long-awaited second edition of the IMPAKT Hybrid Wine and Art Tasting Event is taking place. After the success of last year’s edition, we will organise a new evening with more art and a more open set-up so you can all participate, directly from your living room. During the event, various artists will present projects in which food and wine are combined with Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence. Join us as we present you the perfect pairing of art and wine, while you get to meet like-minded wine lovers. Santé!
How can new technologies enhance or change the social experience of eating and drinking together? How does a virtual immersive environment affect taste? What can artificial intelligence bring to the table? Anna Pompermaier, Cenk Güzeliş & Valdemar Danry will discuss Be My Guest, a project they will develop for the European Media Art Platform (EMAP), and Sophia Bulgakova, Leo Scarin & Cemre Deniz Kara will present their project Methaphysical Tastings. Both projects explore our senses and challenge our experiences of the dining ritual. In addition to the art presentations, wine experts will share their knowledge on what makes a wine rich, robust, or round, and how natural wines are produced.
We have selected two wines that you are invited to buy for the evening. To make the event as accessible as possible, these two wines will be easily available (in the Netherlands). For the final part of the event you are invited to pick a wine of your own choice, and share your enthusiasm for that wine. Read more how to prepare for the tasting and where you can buy the wines.
The IMPAKT Hybrid Wine and Art Tasting Event gaps the bridge between online and offline. Taking place entirely on Zoom, this online wine and art event will bring like-minded people together, Chatroulette style, for a social evening with a fine bouquet of playful and inspiring conversations. All you have to do is get the wine, add your own food and invite your friends.
There are two types of tickets available: basic tickets and extended tickets, depending on your group size. You only need one ticket per group. Both types of ticket to the online event are €5,-. But if you want to participate with a bigger group, four to six people, we request you to join us for a tech check prior to the event.
- Basic tickets (up to 3 participants)
For groups of up to three people with minimal technical setup: a laptop with a webcam will suffice.

- Extended tickets (4-6 participants)
The more the merrier! As the group is more extended, so is the technical setup. You will need an external webcam and microphone, and we will ask you to test everything with us before the event. No worries, we will guide you through all the steps 🙂
