What is the limit of AI’s creations? In this talent show, the audience is the cut-throat jury that can vote for the best AI clips made by artists and non-artists alike. Help Abner Preis determine just how good – or bad – AI is.
AI Has Talent puts a creative spin on the classic talent show format, where teams compete for the best AI-generated musical video. Using AI tools for text, sound, and visuals, participants from a previous open call have collaborated to produce unique music videos. During this talent show, the audience can vote for their favourite, making this a fun, interactive, and tech-driven competition.
OPEN CALL: AI HAS TALENT
This is your chance to shine by creating a short film, music video, or any short audio-visual clip using cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence tools! Whether you’re just starting out or already an experienced creator, we invite you to transform your ideas into a captivating video and compete with fellow makers in our exciting talent show! The audience will vote for the Categories of Best Video, Best Song, Most Innovative, and Worst in Show.

Theme: DEAL WITH IT
We want you to explore themes such as art and political agendas, political subcultures, radicalization, prejudices, and cultural appropriation. In the true spirit of DEAL WITH IT remember: there are no right, wrong, good or bad submissions. Embrace the freedom to experiment, have fun, and tap into the incredible potential of AI to express your unique perspective.
Workshops
To help you get started and harness AI as a creative tool, we are offering:
- Open Online Workshop (free): Join our special online workshop on 24 October, led by artist Abner Preis and team. Learn how to use AI as a powerful tool for creativity, discovering infinite new ways of artistic expression.
- On-Site Workshop: We will also host an in-person workshop where participants will receive hands-on guidance on using AI tools for creative projects.
These workshops are designed to help you learn how to use AI effectively as a new and versatile tool for artistic creation.
Event details
- Sign Up Deadline: 23 October
- Online Workshop: 24 October
- Submission Deadline: Final submissions must be received by 29 October to be included in the talent show.
- The Premier will be 1 November, during the IMPAKT Festival 2024: DEAL WITH IT, awards will be given at the end of the Evening Awards Party
