This, too shall pass
By Moth Loths (New Zealand, 2020)
A barren world flourishes again in the wanderer’s careful footsteps. We are invited to engage with the desolated earth and connect step-by-step to the magnificent re-growth. Both witness and intruder, we travel along a line of monuments to the human role in a world we used to live in. A world that vanishes again, as we quit the game.
“These are the last of the good days. Treasure this time. For your world is dying.”
The virtual landscape in this edition of This, too, shall pass is based on real world terrain data of Utrecht and surroundings.
Moth Loths is a ludic poet and digital world builder interested in the connections between players and (virtual) worlds.
