KAYLE BRANDON and HEATH BUNTING (UK 2007)
Launched in 2007, Daily News is a paper about the lives and loves of the non-human inhabitants of global cities. Issue 01: “WITH YOU FOR YOU ALWAYS”, is printed, published and distributed in New Delhi, India – and distributed at traffic lights, shopping centers, traffic jams, queues, waiting rooms, on billboards… It is news from the animal kingdom; straight from the horse’s mouth. We don’t just hear these stories – we relive them.
Kayle Brandon― Artist
Kayle Brandon is an inter-disciplinary artist, who works within public and social contexts. Making works which are embedded in specific, sites, places and communities. Brandon is interested in the role of art within the everyday and works to engage audiences in several ways from intentional participation through to the incidental witness. She regularly works in collaborative, collective scenarios, often merging art with activism. She has exhibited internationally and locally, appearing in shows at The New Museum New York, and Spike Island, Bristol UK. Her main areas of interest circle around peoples relationships to nature, urban space, animals, architecture and survival. Her work often involves physicality, intervention, and experimental exploration. She cross.s into several disciplines; cartography, botany, anthropology and uses a variety of mediums; drawing, events, writing, sculptor, and craft.
Heath Bunting― Artist
Heath Bunting has exhibited, performed and taught internationally for 25 years. As a young adult, he undertook a three year apprenticeship in stained glass. After this, Heath spent several years roaming both Bristol and London as street artist as-well distributing thousand of arts works via postal and fax networks. During the rise of the internet, he was a key participant of the net.art movement. Within this time he founded irational.org. He has setup and run multiple transmissions and listening stations internationally. He has worked as staff at the Banff centre for the Arts and the Cube Cinema.
