Nina Fonoroff

Nina Fonoroff is an American artist and experimental filmmaker, whose works have been showcased at museums and festivals across the U.S, Canada and Europe. She has been an independent filmmaker since 1980 and holds a B.F.A from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and an M.F.A from the San Francisco Art Institute.  Her works have also been recognised with many prestigious awards such as the 'Juror's Choice Award' at the Black Maria Film and Video Festival and an honourable mention at the Ann Arbor Film Festival to name a few.  She has been a professor of filmmaking and film studies at the Faculty of Cinematic Arts at the University of New Mexico since 1993.
