A Cure for Fear #2: Night time in Kabul

Lana Wilson

(US 2018, 14 min)

Dr. Merel Kindt is a clinical psychologist with a new way to treat, or even eliminate, phobias and the effects of emotional trauma: first you confront the thing you’re scared of—then you take a pill, a beta-blocker called propranolol. Amazingly, it seems to work. PTSD is one of the most difficult anxiety disorders to treat, and, in this short film, Dr. Kindt must rely on her intuition to help a traumatized veteran.
