Experience the IMPAKT Festival 2020 Zero Footprint online from 28 October till 1 November
Last Monday the government announced new measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The safety of our visitors, speakers, artists and guests is a top priority for us. Therefore, we decided that the festival from 28 October till 1 November will take place online. The festival exhibition will still be on view at the IMPAKT Centre for Media Culture.
What to expect?
Zero Footprint: Living and Connecting on a Damaged Earth is the theme under which we present a rich programme of films, games, performances, panels, and talks to question our idea of sustainability. Solidarity, playfulness and experimentation are central to our approach, with speakers and artists including: Douglas Rushkoff, Julia Watson, Sonia Shah, Franco “Bifo” Berardi, Rory Pilgrim, Jasper Griepink, Monira Al Qadiri and members of climate activist movements Extinction Rebellion and Fossil Free Culture NL.
Planet IMPAKT and IMPAKT TV
Over the past months we worked to bring the IMPAKT Festival to your home in the best possible way. Recreating the festival feeling, from the comfort of your couch:
Planet IMPAKT is a virtual festival experience. Dive into the Zero Footprint future scenarios and wander through the different festival spaces. Take part in the live programme, ask burning questions to the speakers, visit our virtual exhibition, take a break at the bar, and don’t miss the chance to play one of the climate games in the game room.
With the IMPAKT TV we guide you non-stop through the programme and give you a unique peek behind the scenes of the IMPAKT Festival. Reports and interviews with artists and special guests, trash-poetry, and much more… In other words: a 5-day TV broadcasting you don’t want to miss. Tune in and save the planet 🙂
Exhibition Dreaming in Everywhen
In addition to our programme of films, panels, workshops and performances, at the IMPAKT Centre for Media Culture in Utrecht we present the festival exhibition Zero Footprint. Due to the new COVID-19 recommendations, we allow a maximum of 4 people in the exhibition.
