‘As of today, it is back in Berlin: Google Street View’s special camera car. For the first time in 15 years, the company is again taking images for its digital maps. And that’s special, because after Germans massively protested against the use of Street View in 2010, Google decided to discontinue the project there.’
Last June, Google Street View made a re-entry into Germany, the country with the world’s first data law. We don’t often think about how a popular tool like Google Street affects our privacy, especially now that most of us have already become so used to it. During the IMPAKT Festival 2023: Our Terms, Our Conditions in November, we want to rethink together what exactly our terms and conditions are and how we can act on them.
