IMPAKT had invited Finnish artist Pekka Sassi for a residency within our IMPAKT Works residency programme. Pekka Sassi (1969) is a Helsinki-based artist whose output consists of experimental sound and video works and installations. His work was awarded the annual AVEK Prize for audio-visual art in 2006, and best film at the European Media Art Festival, Osnabrück 2010. IMPAKT showed his piece The Suburb Within at IMPAKT Festival 2010.

During the residency, until January first 2012, Sassi had been working on the production of his new film After Everything.
