EMARE residency 2021: UPDATE #5
A little sneak peek from the filming process of “Gently running downwards”
“Gently running downwards” is a project by Liliana Piskorska (Zeic) which is part of the 2021 EMARE residency programme of the European Media Art Platform (EMAP). It focuses on the multiplicity of events and ideas that feed the post-truth, radical right conspiracy discourse of “cultural Marxism.” The artist also explores emotions and body reactions resulting from prolonged minority stress experienced by stigmatised and discriminated communities.
The execution of the audiovisual part of the installation has already started but the weather did not always work in the artist’s favour. The next filming has been rescheduled to the upcoming Saturday, so fingers crossed that mother nature will be merciful this time!
We are looking forward to seeing the final result, meanwhile, check out the still shots from the previous set and stay tuned for more updates!
EMARE is a collaboration that brings together 11 European Media Art organizations, co-produced by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union. The EMARE programme offers yearly residencies to artists working in the fields of digital media. Read more about EMARE here
