With the support of the European Union’s Creative Europe programme, the European Media Art Platform (EMAP) launches its 2026 residency programme for artists and collectives working in the fields of digital and media art, robotic art, and bio art. The programme is implemented across 15 European countries and supports contemporary artistic practices at the intersection of art, technology, and science.
At the core of EMAP 2026 is a multi-month residency programme implemented across 15 European countries, supporting contemporary artistic practices in the fields of digital and media art, robotic art, and bio art. The programme specifically addresses artistic positions at the intersection of art, technology, and science, while fostering international exchange and long-term visibility.
European artists, or collectives can apply with a project proposal for a residency of two months in 2026. Applicants must therefore apply as a duo or collective, or propose a collaborative project with a partner of their choice or with a collaborator local to the host institution.
